"Don't Put the Boats Away," the latest novel by Ames Sheldon '66, was selected as a finalist in American Book Fest's 2019 Best Book Awards in the historical fiction category.
Mitch Goldstein '79 has published his first book. "Foreign Threat" is a mystery about a young medical intern who is swept into an espionage case involving international terrorism, traitorous CIA agents and a clinical threat to homeland security.
This fall, Eric Shogren '84 purchased Woullet Bakery, a 75-year-old family business in the Twin Cities. The founder and owner of a bakery and coffee shop chain in Russia, Eric also owns A Baker's Wife in Minneapolis.

Alumni Service Day at Loaves and Fishes Feb. 8
The board of Blake's Alumni Association is teaming up with Loaves and Fishes, a nonprofit that provides free and healthy meals to people in need, for Alumni Service Day 2020. Sort food items, count inventory, organize, clean and assemble toiletry kits for those experiencing homelessness. All alumni and their families are welcome. Volunteers must be 12 years or older.
