Dougie Padilla '66 has a solo art exhibition now on display at Rogue Buddha Gallery in Minneapolis. The show, “lucky 70 (suerte),” highlights Dougie’s select works from the past 10 years and runs through Saturday, Oct. 12 with an opening reception on Friday, Sept. 6.
Ames Sheldon ‘66 will be reading from her new novel, “Don’t Put the Boats Away,” at several upcoming events in and around the Twin Cities as well as in Massachusetts.
Amy Schachtman Zaroff '90, owner of Amy Zaroff Events + Design, was featured in a member profile on the co-operative workspace ModernWell’s blog.
Brian Warshawsky '91 was named CEO of Fenix International, a company he co-founded in 2009 that offers solar home systems across Africa. He previously served as Fenix’s COO.
Madeline Wethington ‘19, an incoming freshman at the University of Minnesota, will play for the Gopher’s women’s hockey team this season. She is featured in this Q&A with Gopher Sports.

Rob McClanahan Steps in as Interim Head Boys’ Hockey Coach
Former Gophers and NHL hockey player and member of the gold medal-winning 1980 U.S. Olympic hockey team, Rob McClanahan will lead Blake’s boys’ hockey team for the 2019-20 season. Former head coach Greg May accepted a position with the University of Minnesota’s men’s hockey coaching staff.
The Team Gathers for Bettels Picnic

Thank you to our alumni who attended this year’s Chub Bettels Scholar Picnic to welcome our newest scholars, MaKenna Vavrichek ‘21 and Morgan Ramsey ‘21. Established in 1992, the Chub Bettels Scholarship Fund benefits Upper School students with financial need, designating two rising juniors each year for the two-year honor.
