Beth Davis '07 recently graduated from medical school and is about to start her residency in internal medicine at the University of Minnesota. Alumni Spotlight

Dean Phillips '87 won the DFL nomination for Minnesota's Third Congressional District at the party's recent convention, defeating his sole opponent, Tonka Bay Council Member Adam Jennings. If elected, Dean would represent a large swath of the west metro, including much of suburban Hennepin County.

Maxine Kaye Bédat '01, co-founder of the sustainable apparel company Zady and a leader in sustainability within the industry, contributed a commentary on fashion's carbon footprint to the Vermont news website VTDigger.

Matt Frauenshuh '01, CEO of Minneapolis-based Fourteen Foods, was named to the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal's 2018 40 Under 40. Fourteen Foods owns and operates 207 Dairy Queen Grill and Chill restaurants and Braziers in 12 states.

Kathryn Moos '03 is co-founder of OWYN — Only What You Need, a vegan plant-based protein brand designed for athletes and fitness enthusiasts. She was recently featured on Women@Forbes ("Leveraging Your Track Record To Innovate An Industry And Attract Investors") and in the WhyIFight Q&A on EverybodyFights.com.

Javier Reyes' '10 band, Post Animal, is releasing its debut album, "When I Think of You in a Castle," and heading out on a North American tour. Read the band's commentary about each song on the new album and find their tour schedule on Track by Track.

Rory Taylor '14 has been selected for a Fulbright award to New Zealand. As a recipient and a representative of the United States, he will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with international partners in educational, political, cultural, economic and scientific fields.
