Honoring Brano Stankovsky

The Blake girls' hockey community invites you to share their goal to memorialize the incredible life and legacy of Brano Stankovsky, who coached the Blake girls' hockey team for 14 seasons.

On April 24, 2012, Stankovsky died due to complications from a stroke. A few weeks before he passed, he posted a message on the whiteboard in the Blake girls' locker room. It read, "If you're not thinking about going all the way, why go at all?" That's the mindset Stankovsky taught his players, both on and off the ice.

Help his passion live on at Blake. Located within the heart of the ice arena's Bear Cave, the Brano Stankovsky Locker Room will enhance the continued success of the girls' hockey program and honor his legacy. Read more
